MAA Environmental Compliance Workshop at 2012 NAWIC ConExpo

Maine Aggregate Association will host an Environmental Compliance Workshop at the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Construction Exposition on Wednesday, April 11, 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the Augusta Civic Center.

This workshop is aimed at helping owners and operators of gravel pits and quarries understand some of the myriad of complex environmental regulations affecting their operations and how to comply with these rules and avoid violations.

Presenters are industry representatives from Maine Aggregate Association members companies including : Phil Ruck from CES Inc., Gene Weldon from Lane Construction, John Koris from Pike Industries and Ted Johnston from Resource Policy Group.

This Workshop will focus on Maine Department of Environmental Protection regulatory requirements: Air Emission Licenses for Rock Crushers, Asphalt & Concrete Batch Plants; Petroleum Handling & Storage; Stormwater Management; and License Requirements for Pits & Quarries.

All gravel pit & quarry operators and owners are invited. There is no cost to attend this workshop
