2013 Annual MAA Membership Banquet – 4/24/2013

The Maine Aggregate Association 2013 Annual Membership Meeting & Banquet scheduled for April 24, 2013 at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland. All MAA members are invited to attend.

According to MAA President Tom Shaw of Gorham Sand & Gravel., following installation of Directors and Officers, the program includes: Kevin Burns, Manager of the Small Mine Consultation Program of the U.S. Department of Labor Mining Safety & Health Administration (MSHA); a summary of inspections and compliance by Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Mining Inspectors, and an update on pending legislation and regulatory issues of interest to the Aggregate Industry by MAA Lobbyist Ted Johnston.

“The Annual meeting is a great source for information and opportunity for networking with colleagues and friends right at the start of the construction season. We look forward to seeing you on April 24th,” said MAA President Tom Shaw.

This year's Annual Meeting will also include an Environmental Issues Seminar with participation with experts from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and industry leaders. Topics will include:

Air Emission License Requirements for Rock Crushers and Concrete & Asphalt Batch Plants
Industrial Stormwater Discharge Regulations & Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans

The Annual Meeting advance registration is $50 for all member company and includes the Environmental Seminar. For late registration at the door or for non-members, the fee is $60. To attend just the Environmental Seminar the fee for Non-members is $25.
